This is a very special cake, I made it for my niece Lylah!
I must say it's one of my favorites!
The Care Bear Cake....
This cake took quite a bit of prep time. I made the rainbows four days in advance assuming they would be dry and stiff enough to hold there shape when placed off the side of the cake. I would recommend a little more time, even though they were dry and pretty stiff, another day or two would have been better. They were not as firm as I would have preferred so...
I had to come up with something!!!
But what???...
I was getting ready to have a moment, when my husband had a suggestion that saved the day!!!
Thanks Jake!!! :)
I had some chocolate melted that I had used on the cake pops, so I put some on the bottom side of each of the rainbows and let them dry for a few minutes and it worked! Yay!!!
Don't judge, I know you have moments too, it's allowed! ;)
I also made the bears a few days in advance so they would hold there form also. The most difficult part of the Care Bears was getting the head in the right shape. Following that are the details, if you have ever molded a character you know details are very important. Something as simple as eye placement can throw off the look of the character if not placed correctly. So details are important.
